Welcome!

This website carries the articles and information surrounding The Wisdom Project and also offers access to many of Charles Strohmer's other writings.

The Wisdom Project is a multi-year, multi-aspected initiative that includes the new book that Charles is writing as a Visiting Fellow of the Center for Public Justice (Washington, DC). CPJ is an independent, nonpartisan think tank that works with public officials and nongovernmental organizations on policy issues. The topic of the book is international relations and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Its approach seeks to recover and revitalize the historic but long-neglected wisdom tradition as a vital contributor to Washington's interest to understand the nexus of faith, religion, and foreign policy in the Middle East, especially as it involves four main actors: Muslims, Jews, Christians, and secularists. Other aspects of The Wisdom Project include roundtables, workshops, seminars, lectures, policy papers, and articles. For Charles's writings in this area, see International Relations & Foreign Policy.

This site also offers many of Charles Strohmer's other writings (see Articles) on topics other than those of politics, international relations, and foreign policy. These include articles, essays, columns, and book reviews on issues such as in education, science, the arts, society, relationships, spirituality, religion, worldview, wisdom, and Christianity. Also included are many in-depth Interviews Charles has conducted over the years. His writings have appeared in the U.S. and the U.K., and on the Web, in both religious and secular publications, including The Christian Century, Muslim Public Affairs Journal, Islam Daily, OldSpeak, Middle East Window, Peaceworks, Religion-Online, Third Way, Sojourners, Cross Point, Christian Reflection Journal, Christian Research Journal, The Old South Farmers Almanac, Log Homes Illustrated, Timber Homes Illustrated, Sporting Clays, re:generation, Prism, Renewal, SojoMail, and Openings.
