Bibliography

The books listed below have been important to my research on: 1) domestic Christian – Muslim relations, 2) international relations and foreign policy between the United States and Muslim majority countries in the Middle East, and 3) developing wisdom-based analyses and approaches to those two contexts and their often overlooked influence on each other. This research is part of The Wisdom Project, which includes the new book I’m writing (just described in 1, 2, 3). Apologies for not breaking the following classifications into many smaller ones, but the titles themselves should make their subjects clear.

Because I have listed the books topically, instead of by author, you will find some authors appearing (below) in more than one category, but no title appears more than once. I regularly update this bibliography, and in due course I hope to find time to list other important resources, such as the formal reports, journal articles, interviews, and so on, that have also been part of the research for The Wisdom Project and the new book. (Last updated: May 21, 2013)

The books are listed in the following order in these broad categories:

The Historic Wisdom Tradition, Its Literature, and Related Areas

War on Terrorism
War about Iraq
War and Peace
